There's the little keyboard icon on the midi instrument track that shows and hides the instruments but you probably know that already. There isn't a command for clicking the arrangement and hiding instruments. When creating a macro's when putting things into active or not active state "0" is closed or not active and "1" is open or active. Under the same view tab, you'll see "Console" which allows you to open and close the console with a key command.

The key command for hiding the instruments windows is labeled "Toggle Floating Windows" under the view tab. the console just eats up more unnecessary screen real estate so i prefer it out of the way and not have to use that macro as in intermediary to get to what i really want to do.thx however when i go to create a new macro, i don't see any available commands for hiding the instrument window let alone clicking the console (putting it into an active state).Īlso, can the same macro be done for the clicking the arrangement window? i often bounce back to the arranger while working with the instrument more than the console so that i can work with the timeline and positioning the playback cursor where i want which usually involves visually inspecting the waveforms / zooming in and out. Presobr010 wrote snb1 wroteCreate a macro that hides the instrument every time you bring up the console. i can't find a way to change it.įyi : due to the fact i'm on the road i only have access to my small laptop screen otherwise i might be able to get around this with a larger display Is there any way to set this in a preference? or am i stuck with the default behavior. Switching back and forth between the instrument and the S1 arrangement / console context is a pretty common task for me and i would prefer if clicking switches teh context (brings whatever widget window you click on to the foreground) vs having to open and close teh instrument. which means you're going to have to click back on the instrument icon to open it back up. once you pull up EZ drummer / the instrument window, it's always there blocking everything else behind it! the only way to get back to the console or arrangement is to close EZ drummer / the instrument.

Often i need to switch back to the arrangement, the console or the transport bar while i'm using the instruments window but regardless of whether you click on any part of these S1 interface widgets with your mouse or try to use a keyboard shortcut to access them, they are always hidden behind EZ drummer! in other words, clicking on the S1 interface widget doesn't change the screen focus to S1 from EZ drummer.

when i pull up ezdrummer / the instrument window to preview the midi loops in real time to my song, it takes up a fair amount of real estate on teh screen and blocks access to other parts of S1 b/c you can't really resize the ez drummer instrument window. I've assigned ezdrummer with it's midi browser / midi preview feature to an instrument drum track in my song.
